About MTSL
The Michigan Team Swim League (MTSL) is an organization consisting of 23 teams which range in area from the central and upper lower peninsula of Michigan to the eastern upper peninsula. League objectives are to promote the enjoyment of swimming, good sportsmanship, and provide opportunities for athletic competition for youth in the region.

My child currently swims for a club in MTSL and has qualified for state, we are considering switching swim clubs and are not sure if one of the teams participates in MTSL, if we switch to this team, can my child still compete in the State Meet? Please explain.
Hi Jennifer, sorry for the delay in responding. First I’d recommend that you check the teams tab to confirm whether the team/s you are considering do participate in the league. Second, and the reason for the delayed response, it that it is not clear in the existing by-laws what the procedure is for competing unattached at the state meet (if your new team does not participate). I’m seeking clarification from the league president. I’ll respond with further details as soon as I recieve clarification on this point. Thank you for your patience.
